PURPOSE: To culture SHIITAKE (Cortinellus shiitake) in remarkably improved generation and growth rates of SHIITAKE, by soaking bed log after irradiation of far infrared ray, immersing water into the log, inoculating spawn of SHIITAKE to the bed log and aging the logs, thereby applying good stimulation to the inoculated mycelia.

CONSTITUTION: Water in a water tank 1 is circulated by connecting a circulation pump 3 to an end of the water tank 1 through two connection pipes 2, 2a. A pair of ceramic plates 4, 4a irradiating far infrared ray are attached to two parts of the inner side walls of the water tank 1. A bed log 5 is immersed in the water in the water tank 1 to impregnate the log with water before inoculation of the spawn of SHIITAKE. Far infrared ray is irradiated from the ceramic plates 4, 4a of the inner wall of the water tank 1 to the bed log while immersing the log with water. The irradiated log 5 is taken out of the water tank 1 and aged at 15W17°C to enable the culture of SHIITAKE in high efficiency.
