Title:
CUP HOLDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11301333
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To stably hold vessels having various sizes by providing a first holding part that energizes a restriction member to protrude inward of the diameter direction from a circumferential edge of an insertion hole to thereby form a holder hole with a small diameter than the diameter of the insertion hole and to swing upward, and a second holding part extending in the opposite direction.

In holding a vessel 5' having a larger outer diameter than the diameter of a holder hole, the bottom of vessel 5' is made to abut on a pair of first holding members 31 from the above and then the members 31 are pressed downward against the energization force of a spring. Thereby, restriction members 3 swing to thereby move the members 31 downward from the upward for expanding a distance between the members 31, and at the time when it exceeds the size of outer diameter of vessel 5', the vessel 5' is interposed between the members 31. After the completion of insertion of the container 5', the bottom is supported with the bottom face of a console box 2 and the outer circumferential surface of vessel 5' is press contacted with the tips of members 31 by the energization of spring, thereby preventing generation of abnormal sound caused by vibration as well as chattering. Accordingly, vessels 5' having various diameters can be held with one-hand insertion operation.
