PURPOSE: To obtain a coating compound composition for base coating, capable of forming a coating film having excellent finishing appearance even in coating the coating film with a coating compound composition for high-performance clear coating, having excellent solvent cleanability and improved effect on chipping resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This curable resin composition is obtained by copolymerizing (a) 1-50wt.% of a dialkylamide group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer with (b) l-65wt.% of a long-chain carboxyl group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer, (c) 1-80wt.% of an alicyclic hydrocarbon-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer, (d) 2-70wt.% of a hydroxy group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer and (e) a proper amount of another ethylenic unsaturated monome, and has 10-300 hydroxyl number, 2-100 acid value and 500-50,00 number-average molecular weight.
