To obtain a curable resin composition capable of imparting water and oil repellency of surface and releasing properties with a relatively small amount of a polyorganosiloxane by making the composition contain a copolymer of a specific α,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer in which a specific polyorganosiloxane binds chemically in a block polymer form.
This curable resin composition is obtained by mixing (A) a copolymer of a carboxyl group-containing α,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer with ≥1 species of other α,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer with (B) a copolymer of an epoxy group-containing α,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer with ≥1 species of other α,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomers and bringing a polyorganosiloxane having ≥800 molecular weight to chemically bind to the main chain or chains of the ingredient A and/or ingredient B to form a block polymer. The ingredient A and/or the ingredient B are/is preferably produced by using a polymeric azo-based initiator expressed by the formula [(x) is 10-300; (n) is 1-20] together with a radical polymerization initiator having ≤1,000 molecular weight.
