Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a curable resin composition having excellent storability, giving a coating film having excellent adhesion, water-resistance and hardness and suitable for the coating of the interior and exterior parts of building, automobile, etc., by mixing an emulsion of a specific silicon-containing polymer with a silane coupling agent and a curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: This curable resin composition is produced by mixing (A) an emulsion of a polymer containing silyl group of the formula I [R1 is 1-10C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; X1 is halogen, (thio)alkoxy, amino(xy), hydroxy, acyloxy or phenoxy; (a) is 0-2], e.g. a copolymer emulsion produced by the emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer containing alkoxysilyl group, a hydrophilic vinyl monomer having polyoxyethylene chain and other vinyl monomers in the presence of an anionic surfactant having polyoxyethylene chain with (B) a silane coupling agent of the formula II (R2 is R1; X2 is X1; Y1 is univalent hydrocarbon group containing functional group; (b) is 0-2) and (C) a curing agent such as an organotin compound or an acidic phosphoric acid ester.
