Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in the hydrophilicity of a cured product by mixing an organopolysiloxane with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, a specified nonionic surfactant and a platinum group metal catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A curable silicone composition is obtained by mixing an organopolysiloxane (A) having at least two Si-bonded aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon groups in the molecule with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane (B) having at least three Si-bonded hydrogen atoms in the molecule, a nonionic surfactant (C) having siloxane units in the molecule, wherein each of these siloxane units has at least one Si-bonded hydrogen atom or aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon group and a platinum group metal catalyst (D). This composition can give a cured product excellent in hydrophilicity and dimensional stability, and the hydrophilicity lasts for a long term. Therefore, it can be desirably used for a dental impression material, a lithographic printing plate, a mold release, an adhesive, a coating material, a sealant or the like.
