Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a dental curable sizing agent for filling root canals, having an affinity to living bodies, low in tissual irritation, promoting therapy of the circumferential tissue of root end part, capable of indoor storing for a long-term in a pasty state and curable in mouth within a range of 24hr.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Ca4P2O9 and/or Ca2(PO4)2 is blended with (B) a carboxylic acid, (C) rosin and (D) a liquid material preferably in an amount of [(A)+(B)+(C)=10-65wt.%] and in a mixture ratio of [(A):(B):(C)=(0.11-7.7):1:(0.4-8)] to obtain the objective dental curable sizing agent for filling root canals. This sizing agent is mainly composed of calcium phosphate and not containing zinc oxide as a metal oxide at all. This agent has, therefor, the above-mentioned effects such as affinity to living bodies and sealing of the root end part can be expected. In addition. This agent can keep its pasty state indoors for a long period although the filling agent is cured within a range of 24hr to seal the root canals. Unused remainder portions can be kept accordingly in a state of paste accommodated in a syringe, etc., indoors for a long period.
