PURPOSE: To provide curative medicine for erythropenia containing a condensed pyrazole compound as an active ingredient and having action to recover the reduction in red blood cell count caused by marrow transplantation or irradiation with radioactive rays.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I {X is N, CH; R is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen; Y1 is formula II, phenyl which may be substituted; Y2 is formula III, -A2-B2, H, alkyl, phenylalkyl which may be substituted; alkoxyalkyl, carboxyalkyl; either of Y1 or Y2, or both of them are formula II or formula III [Z1, Z2 are O, S, NR3 (R3 is H, alkyl); A1, A2 are alkylene; B1, B2 are H, alkyl, dialkylamino); L1, L2 are H, halogen, alkyl]}, for example, 3-[4-(2- dimethylamino-1-methylethoxy)phenyl]-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-1-acetic acid is used as an active ingredient of the objective erythropenia curative medicine.
