Abstract:
To provide a cured-film-forming composition for forming a cured film that has excellent photoreaction efficiency and solvent resistance and can be peeled from a polymerizable liquid crystal layer after curing the polymerizable liquid crystals; and an orientation material and a retardation material.SOLUTION: A cured-film-forming composition includes: a component (A), which is a cinnamic acid derivative represented by the formula (1) (where A1 and A2 are each independently a hydrogen atom or the like, R1 is a hydrogen atom or the like, R2 is an aromatic group or the like, R3 is a single bond, an oxygen atom or the like, R4 to R7 are each independently a hydrogen atom or the like, and n is an integer of 0 to 3); a component (B), which is a hydrophilic polymer having one or more substituents selected from a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, and an amino group; and a component (C), which is a crosslinking agent. Optionally, the cured-film-forming composition further includes a component (D), which is a crosslinking catalyst. There are also provided an orientation material and a retardation material, each obtained by using the cured-film-forming composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
