Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance durability by coating the surface of an alkali inorganic hardened body with aqueous alkali thickening type composition for coating which contains an aqueous resin dispersion, an alkali thickening high polymer and pigment in accordance with necessity.
CONSTITUTION: Both an aqueous resin dispersion (A) such as acrylic-based resin having 0-50°C glass transition point and an alkali thickening high polymer (B) such as polycarboxylic acid-based resin which is thickened at ≥9pH are mixed at the following rate shown by solid weight ratio. (A)/(B)=90/10 to 99.9/0.1. Furthermore, in accordance with necessity, inorganic pigment or organic pigment is blended with this mixture at ≤100wt.% for 100 pts.wt. resin solid substance. Thereby alkali thickening type composition for coating is prepared. Then the surface of an alkali inorganic hardened body such as cement concrete is coated with this composition at 20-400g/cm2 thickness expressed in terms of solid substance by a roll coater or the like. The alkali inorganic hardened body is dried at ordinary temperature or forcedly dried and finished.
