Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of water repellency of a coating film with water repelling function by addn. of a silicone.
SOLUTION: One tenth to 10 pts.wt. silicone acrylic block polymer obtd. by polymn. of an acrylic monomer having a crosslinking group in the presence of a silicone macroinitiator, both ends of whose polysiloxane chains are linked with 2,2'-azobisnitrile group, is added to 100 pts.wt. film-forming resin compsn. contg. a curing agent. The block copolymer is crosslinked by a common curing agent with the film-forming resin, or unified in a cured coating film by a crosslinking reaction with the film-forming resin.
