Abstract:
To provide a technique of performing driving control of a motor used as a driving source for a pressure mechanism so as to be able to stably adjust pressure caused by the pressure mechanism in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A controller (CPU) of an image forming apparatus starts pressuring drive of a pressure mechanism (decurler cam) by a motor (S101), and monitors a torque current component of a current vector in a motor control device (S104). A controller acquires an output torque characteristic representing the relationship between the number of pulses as drive pulses output to the motor control device and an output torque value of the motor, that is obtained from the torque current component (S111). Further, the controller determines the number of target pulses for acquiring an output torque corresponding to a target pressure value with the motor, based on the output torque characteristic to make the motor control device drive the motor by the drive pulses of the number of the target pulses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
