PURPOSE: To improve the curl removing effect by constituting a transport means from the first transport member which is formed from rigid bodies and can be revolved in the normal and reverse directions and the second transport member which is formed from an elastic body and is revolved in the normal and reverse directions, press-attached onto the first transport member.

CONSTITUTION: One transport roller 45a among a pair of transport rollers 45a and 45b as transport means is formed from rigid bodies, and can be revolved in the normal and reversed directions. Another transport roller 45b is formed of an elastic body having a hardness of 30° or less, and is moved in the normal and reverse directions, following the normal and reverse revolutions of the transport roller 45a. When a paper sheet (s) in curled state is nipping-transported on the both rollers 45a and 45b, the roller 45a moves in reciprocation in the normal and reverse directions. Therefore, the sheet (s) is moved in reciprocation between the both rollers 45a and 45b plural times, and the curl is completely eliminated. Since the peripheral surface of the roller 45b is deformed in recessed form by the nipping parts of the both rollers 45a and 45b, the curl can be surely removed.
