Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a curling iron for stably supporting the rota tion axis when a barrel is rotated and for securely supporting its front end side even without a water tank.
SOLUTION: The curling iron 10 includes a cylindrical main body 11, a cylindrical roll 12 extended from one end of the main body and housed with an inside heater, a press plate 13 with an arcuate cross section for catching hair on the roll, a holder 14 rotatably provided around the main body 11, and a cap 15 fixed at the end of the roll 12 and made of a highly heat-insulating material. The main body 11 is provided with a rotation knob 22 which is rotatable with fingers gripping the holder 14. The cap 15 is composed of a base portion 41 fixed at the roll 12, a cylindrical portion 42 extended from the base portion to the front end side, and a plurality of annular ribs 43 mutually spaced apart around the cylindrical portion and gradually getting smaller in diameter toward the front end.
