Abstract:
To provide a currency processing device that prevents a re-accounting process from stopping on the way.SOLUTION: A currency processing device 11 includes: an identification unit 28; a pool cassette 39; specific denomination cassettes 35 to 37; a mixed cassette 38; means for re-accounting; and a re-accountable currency amount set to guarantee storage of currency for the number of banknotes/coins to be stored in the pool cassette 39 after being ejected from the specific denomination cassettes 35 to 37 and the mixed cassette 38. If the number of banknotes/coins stored in the specific denomination cassettes 35 to 37 is larger than the re-accountable currency amount before the re-accounting process is started, a portion of the currencies in the specific denomination cassettes 35 to 37 are transferred to the pool cassette 39, and then all the currencies held in the pool cassette 39 are transferred into and stored in the mixed cassette 38. After that, the re-accounting process is performed for the specific denomination cassettes 35 to 37 and the mixed cassette 38, in that order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
