Title:
CURRENT ADJUSTING CIRCUIT FOR INDUCTION LOAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS54126955
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Comparator means CP1 respond to the current levels through an inductive load L1 to generate HIGH and LOW level outputs causing first switch means Q1 to connect and disconnect power to the load. Initially the load current rises until it exceeds a first or peak load-actuation level, a flip-flop FF1 responds to the corresponding change in comparator output level to change the sensitivity to the load current by disconnecting an auxiliary sense resistor R15 coupled to the sense input of the comparator means. The same comparator change disconnects the power, the current now flowing via Q2D1 falls to a second level whereupon the comparator connects the power again, the subsequent maximum current being at a third level. Thereafter the current oscillates between the second and third levels, these being sufficient to maintain actuation of the solenoid armature. At turn off, Q1 and Q2 are opened and the load current then passes via Z2, R1 and Q7 to rapidly reset the armature. In one embodiment, Fig. 4 a one-shot multi-vibrator Q25, D6, C7 prevents disconnection of the auxiliary sense resistor for a fixed period after the commencement of a load actuation signal.
