PURPOSE: To enhance the heat resistance of the above sheet by constituting a current-carried heat generating sheet having a thermal transfer dye layer on the single surface thereof of a layer obtained by crosslinking a resin composition consisting of a conductive substance, a polymer and a predetermined amount of a monomer by ionizing radiation.
CONSTITUTION: A current-carried thermal transfer sheet consists of a current- carried heat generating sheet and the dye layer containing a thermal transfer dye formed on one surface thereof. The current-carried heat generating sheet is composed of a layer obtained by crosslinking a resin composition consisting of a conductive substance, a polymer such as polyester and 10-150 pts. by wt. of the polymer of a monomer such as tetraethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate by ionizing radiation. By this crosslinking, heat resistance and mechanical strength at the time of heating are enhanced and the heat fusion of a base sheet (heating resistance layer) to an electrode head is eliminated and the running property of the electrode head becomes well.
