Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMIC COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3244027
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric material capable of resisting to its employment at high temperatures by including a bismuth laminar compound as a main component and manganese as an auxiliary component in a specific amount converted into MnCO3.
SOLUTION: This piezoelectric ceramic composition having a piezoelectric constant d33 of ≥25 pC/N comprises a main component represented by the formula: (Na0.5Bi0.5)Bi4Ti4O15 and manganess as an auxiliary component in an amount of 0.7-3.0 wt.% under a condition of ≥500°C. A composition represented by the formula: (Na0.5Bi0.5)1-XBi4Ti4O15 wherein a part of (Na0.5Bi0.5) is replaced by a divalent metal has an enlarged piezoelectric constant. A compound represented by the formula: (Na0.5Bi0.5)1-y(A10.5A20.5)yBi4Ti4O15 wherein a part of (Na0.5Bi0.5) is replaced by monovalent ant trivalent metals has a Curie point of about 600°C and does not eliminate its piezoelectric property even at ≥600°C. In the formula, M is a divalent metal such as Sr, Ba or Pd; 0<(x)≤0.5; A1 is a monovalent metal such as K or Li; A2 is a trivalent metal such as Bi; 0<(y)≤0.5.
