Title:
CURRENT DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016217732
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized current detector that is small in power loss.SOLUTION: A current detector 1 comprises coils 2 and 3, and ΔΣ modulator that are formed on a surface of a semiconductor substrate. The coils 2 and 3 are electromagnetically coupled to a bus bar 85 in which current to be detected flows, and outputs a differential current of a value corresponding to a change in current flowing in the bus bar 85. The differential current to be output from the coils 2 and 3 is converted to a digital signal DO by the ΔΣ modulator including current generation circuits 4 and 5, differential amplifier 6, capacitors 7 and 8, comparator 9 and D-type flip flop 10. Accordingly, in comparison with when a shunt resistor is used to detect the current, reduction in power loss and downsizing of a device can be attained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
