Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a highly accurate output current detector for power amplifier in which power loss is lowered by utilizing a low resistance part of metal foil pattern.
CONSTITUTION: The current detector is constituted of a low resistance 3 formed of a metal foil (copper foil) for detecting load current, complementary transistors 13, 14 having well matched characteristics, a current conversion resistance 15 for monitoring which reduces output current in proportion to a predetermined current, a constant current source 16 connected with the emitter of a first complementary transistor, a comparator input resistance 17 connected with the collector of second complementary transistor, a comparator 6, and a reference voltage source 7 subjected to temperature compensation.
