Abstract:

To provide a current limiter circuit 30, which can limit the current of an output driver transistor M11 relatively flatly extending over a wide temperature range, by using it together with a low-accuracy current limiter circuit 10.

A current is limited, by setting the voltage across a resistor R1 to a specified value. To conquer the ripples of this voltage induced by temperature, a compensating circuit 20 generates a current which changes with temperature. This current is injected into the terminal of the resistor R1. This current is so generated as to compensate for the current flowing in an output driver transistor M1 for becoming relatively constant covering a wide temperature range.
