Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of the conventional rectifier-type current limiters wherein, two switching devices per phase and two sets of gate control circuits are required and two sets of snubber circuits are requires as a result, complicating the device structure and making it high in device price, and slow in interrupting speed.
SOLUTION: Between two power systems, a diode bridge rectifier circuit by four diodes is connected, and between tits DC terminals, series connection of a DC reactor and a switching device is connected.
