PURPOSE: To obtain desired electromagnetic characteristic, by inserting the secondary sides of the phase compensating transformers of different phases respectively into two-phase circuits, and by adding the secondary output voltage of said transformer to respective phase voltage in the same phase as that of primary input voltage.
CONSTITUTION: As the output of a two-phase AC power source 4 using a Scott connection transformer, the outputs of the phase U and phase V of phases different by 90° are fed to the phase U coil 21 and the phase V coil 22, respectively, of a two-phase linear electromagnetic device 1. Phase compensating transformers 71, 72 have primary windings 91, 92 and secondary windings 81, 82. The primary windings 91, 92 are respectively connected to the phase V output and phase U output of the two-phase AC power source 4, and by the secondary side output, to the phase U coil 21 of the two-phase linear electromagnetic device 1, V-phase voltage is applied, and to the phase V coil 22, phase U voltage is applied. As a result, phase is compensated for, and a phase difference between both phase current amounts can be always kept to be 90°.
