Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tidal flow power generator installed in sea in which blades are efficiently rotated with tidal flow to generate electricity.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a tidal flow power generator comprising an outline frame 9 standing in a tidal flow F; a rotational power unit including a rotating body having blades 3 rotated upon reception of the tidal flow F in the outline frame 9 and a power generator driven under rotation of the rotating body. The rotating body is constituted in such a way that a plurality of blade shafts 2 having blades 3 are protruded in a radial manner at the central main rotary shaft 1 and there are provided blade converting mechanisms 4 between the central main rotary shaft 1 and the blades 3 to enable the blades 3 to be forcedly converted into a vertical state when a tidal flow sensor detects that the blade shafts 2 are faced towards the upper stream and in turn the blades 3 to be forcedly converted into a horizontal state when the tidal flow sensor detects that the blade shafts 2 are faced towards the downstream. The upper end part and the lower end part of the main rotary shaft 1 of the central main rotary shaft 1 are rotatably supported at the outline frame 9 and a power generator is installed at the outline frame 9 through a rotation transmitting part between it and the main rotary shaft 1.
