In a hybrid vehicle, the current sensor 20 is provided to a power supply line between an invertor 18 and a high voltage battery 22 to detect the charge/discharge current of the high voltage battery 22. The zero point of the current sensor 20 is offset by a predetermined quantity from the center point of a measurable range to secure the measurement accuracy on either a charge size or a discharge side.
