PURPOSE: To display a full size character by displaying a cursor on a display device in a term when a signal is outputted from an OR-gate for ORing signals outputted from 1st and 2nd cursor signal generating parts.
CONSTITUTION: In the case that a cursor display specifying position is positioned on the right half side of the full size character, the cursor display specifying position is specified on the left half side of the full size character by a subtracter 11 for subtracting 1 from the value of a register 10, and a full size cursor signal 23 is outputted from the position of the left half side of the full size character by a full size cursor signal generating part 15. And also, in the case that the cursor display position which is specified by the subtracter 11 is positioned on the position of a half size character, the full size cursor display signal 23 is not outputted by the full size cursor signal generating part 15. Then, the cursor can be prevented from being displayed laid between two characters. The cursor signal 22 which is outputted by a cursor signal generating part 14 and the full size cursor signal 23 which is outputted by the full size cursor signal generating part 15 are ORed by the OR-gate 16 in such a way so as to be supplied to an exclusive OR-gate 17 as the cursor signal 24. Thus, the full size cursor can be displayed.
