Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid influence on the protection of the head of a passenger seated in a seat other than a last row and a performance for preventing the passenger from being released to outside of a vehicle even when an airbag during deployment is caught up on an upper edge of a seat in the last row in a stored state.SOLUTION: A curtain airbag apparatus comprises: an inflator 7; an insertion part 8 of the inflator 7; and an airbag 1 including a duct 9 connecting a chamber deployed by a gas injected from the inflator 7 to the insertion part 8. The airbag 1 forms a non-inflated part 10 between a chamber corresponding to a seating position in each row of a vehicle having, for example, seats in three rows in a vehicle front-back direction and a chamber corresponding to a seating position of the seat in the third row and the seat in the second row to extend upward from a lower end, and one or more fragile parts 11 broken when the airbag 1 during deployment is caught up on an upper edge of the seat in the third row in a flipped-up and stored state are provided in the non-inflated part 10 to extend upward from the lower end of the airbag 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
