Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device achieving stable inflation and deployment of a cushion section while attaining space saving.SOLUTION: A typical configuration of a curtain airbag device 100 includes: an inflator 110 for generating gas for inflation and deployment of an airbag; a cushion section 130 having a chamber 130b and a duct 130a for introducing gas into the chamber 130b; and a deflector 150 mounted in the inflator 110 so as to guide gas to the cushion section 130. The duct 130a has an introduction hole 130c for introducing gas. The deflector 150 is connected to the introduction hole 130c so that gas can be guided. The cushion section 130 is mounted on a vehicle in at least a folded or wound state from a lower end section to an upper end section 140.
