Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a toothbrush of which the curvature of a brush mounting face (brush base) can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION: A toothbrush comprises a long handle 1 having an opening, a cam 3 mounted in the opening of the handle by a cam shaft, a cam follower 2 engaged with the cam to be driven by the cam, a flexible brush head part 6, a rough brush 7 supported by the brush head part, a rigid neck part 8 mounted on the first end of the brush head part, and one end of the handle, and a flexible neck part 9 mounted on the second end of the brush head part, and the cam follower, and the curvature of the brush head part can be adjusted by the rotation of the cam. Further the cam and the cam follower can be replaced by a slidable button in a toothbrush of adjustable curvature, or a toothbrush of adjustable curvature, can have the shape of the compressible closed loop.
