To provide a curved belt conveyor capable of minimizing wear of a belt and allowing the replacement of the belt with a simple operation.
By laying a carrier belt 6 on a floor plate (slide bed) 1 of the conveyor, arranging upper rollers 9, 9a and 9b and lower rollers 7, 7a and 7b on an upper side and a lower side, respectively, across intermediate rollers 8, 8a and 8b on an outer peripheral side of the belt 6, holding an outgoing side 6a of the belt 6 by the intermediate rollers 8, 8a and 8b and the upper roller 9, 9a and 9b and holding a returning side 6b of the belt 6 by the intermediate rollers 8, 8a and 8b and the lower rollers 7, 7a and 7b, the curved belt 6 is traveled on a frame. The plurality of intermediate rollers 8, 8a and 8b are radially arranged from a circular-arc point of the belt 6 and are vertically movably mounted on the floor plate 1 between the outgoing side 6a and the returning side 6b of the belt 6. At least one of the lower rollers 7, 7a and 7b is made as a driving roller, and the upper rollers 9a and 9b are in pressure contact with each other toward the intermediate roller side. The driving roller is directed in an outer peripheral tangential line direction of the carrier belt 6. Each lower roller 7, 7a and 7b except the driving roller is mounted in a direction in which the belt 6 on the returning side is energized in an external direction.
