Abstract:
PURPOSE:To maintain turning accuracy even if the rigidity of bearings is low, by movably providing an object to be examined or a probe on a rectilineal shaft, and also by providing a weight-balance adjusting member with regard to the rotational center of a turning shaft so as to respond to the movement thereof. CONSTITUTION:A holder 7 is moved on a rectilineal shaft base to bring the center of curvature of an object 6 to be examined on line with the rotational center of a turning shaft 4, and also a weight 8 is moved in response to the movement of the holder 7 in such a direction that the weight balance with regard to the turning shaft 4 can be kept. On the other hand, a probe 3a is moved on a rectilineal shaft 9 to be brought into contact with the surface of the object 6 to be examined. Then, the object 6 is turned around its central axis, and also is rotated via a turning shaft 4, and the shape of the object 6 to be examined is measured by the probe 3a. By this constitution, since the weight balance with regard to the rotational center of the turning shaft 4 can be easily kept with a simple mechanism, even if the object 6 is moved, by moving the weight 8 in response to the movement thereof, even if the rigidity of bearings is low, turning accuracy can be maintained.
