To provide a carpet and its manufacturing method, with which the produced carpet has a deodorizing and moisture permeating nature, presents a comfortable sense of use, and is easy to be recycled.
A cushion carpet is structured so that pile fibers 1 are implanted in a base cloth 2 followed by sealing and that a cushioning material 4 is affixed to the rear surface of the base cloth 2. The cushioning material 4 is formed from two or more sorts of fibers including low melting point fiber A and deodorizing fiber B, wherein the melting point of the fiber A is lower by 50°C or more than that of the lowest one of the fiber other than A constituting pile fiber, base cloth fiber, and cushioning material, and it should be arranged so that 20-60wt.% fiber A is contained in the cushioning material.
