To enable the molding of a cushion material within a short time by impregnating a heat-resistant fiber base material with a specific thickness with a rubber or rubber compsn. and molding the impregnated material and setting the heat conductivity in the thickness direction of the molded one to a specific value or more.
A heat-resistant fiber base material with a thickness of 0.1-10mm is impregnated with a rubber being a fluororubber, solicone rubber or butyl rubber or a rubbrery compsn. to be molded. The heat conductivity in the thickness direction of the molded one is set to 4.0×10-4cal/cm/sec/°C or more. Two nonwoven fabrics composed of carbon fibers as the heat-resistant fiber base materials are impregnated with a silicone resin capable of being diluted with a solvent in an amt. of about 4,400g/m2 and the impregnated nonwoven fabrics are held between metal foils to be molded under heating to obtain a cushion material for molding a laminated sheet. By this constitution, the cushion material for molding the laminated sheet using a high heat conductivity material is improved in the heat conductivity from a hot plate to the material and can enhance the production efficiency of the laminated sheet.
