PURPOSE: To ensure that thermal conductivity is uniform and pliability is rich by coating a metal over a heat-resistant synthetic fiber to manufacture a metal- coated heat-resistant synthetic fiber, and forming unwoven cloth using metal- coated heat-resistant synthetic fiber and non-metal-coated heat-resistant synthetic fiber.
CONSTITUTION: Unwoven cloth is formed using metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 6 and non-metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 7 in such a manner that the metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 6 and the non-metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 7 are distributed almost uniformly. Various methods for coating a metal on the heat-resistant fiber such as electrolytic plating, vacuum evaporation and sputtering are available. One example of method for manufacturing unwoven cloth is paper making, that is, cutting the metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 6 and the non-metal-coated heat-resistant fiber 7 using a rotary cutter, and forming a web by dispersing each cut fiber uniformly at a weight ratio of 1:1. The web is laminated by a binder and the laminated webs are formed into unwoven cloth under heat and pressure.
