Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a cushion material capable of absorbing shock such as vibration and keeping the freshness of fruits and vegetables for a long time by forming ethylene gas adsorbing layers equipped with porous mineral grains having an ion exchange function on the side.

CONSTITUTION: A cushion material 1 is made up of a sheet-shaped cushion material main body 2 and ethylene gas adsorbing layers 3. The cushion material main body 2 is dotted with a great number of small air chambers 22 which are formed on the surface of a non air-permeable resin sheet 21 and with the non air-permeable resin sheet as the same. The ethylene gas adsorbing layers 3 are formed with a resin sheet which is dispersed with porous mineral grains 32 having an ion exchange function in the resin 31. The resin forming the resin sheet 21 and the ethylene gas adsorbing layers 3 are exemplified with, for example, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polyamide and the like. And, the ceramic grains or the like such as zeolite, cristobalite are given as the porous mineral grains 32 having an ion exchange function.
