PURPOSE: To obtain the cushion structure excellent in cushioning characteristics, compressive resilience, etc., and without an uneven processing by heat fusing nonelastic polyolefinic crimped staple fibers and specific conjugate fibers after three-dimensional interlacing.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Nonelastic polyolefinic crimped staple fibers and (B) elastic conjugate fibers composed of (i) a thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point lower by ≥20°C than that of the polyolefinic polymer constructing the component A and (ii) a nonelastic polyester, the component (i) covering ≥1/2 of the conjugate fiber surface, are blended to form a web having ≥30cm3/g bulkiness and three-dimensionally interlaced points between the conjugate fibers and between the component A and B, and subjected to heat treatment at a temperature lower than the melting point of the component A and 10-50°C higher than that of the component (i) to obtain the objective structure by heat fusing at least a part of the interlaced points of the fibers.
