Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material capable of sufficiently cushioning an external force even when there is no part with strong strength on a surface to be cushioned, of an article to be packed, and capable of suppressing a used amount.SOLUTION: A cushioning member 1 includes a base material 2 having a side surface part 21, and a prop part 3C made of resin foam. The side surface part 21 is formed with an opening 29 formed from a body part 21A through a hinge line 6 to a folding piece 21B. When the folding piece 21B is folded to the body part 21A by the hinge line 6, the opening 29 is divided by the hinge line 6, and a notch 29A appears on the folding piece 21B. The prop part 3C is mounted on the notch 29A so as to make an edge part 3CA protrude from the surface of the body part 21A.
