Abstract:

To obtain a cut-pile fabric good in touch to the skin, with its pile surface carved with a pattern.

The cut-pile fabric is obtained by the following steps: A pattern part 14 with the diameter D of an inscribed circle on the contour being 5 mm or less is depicted on the pile surface. The pile layer thickness (s) from the surface of the pattern part 14 to a ground fabric 11 is made less than that (t) from the surface of the ground part 15 surrounding the pattern part 14 to the ground fabric. The tip 21 of pile fibers 16 constituting the pattern part is made to a bent shape compared to the tip (19) of those 18 constituting the ground part 15. The pile fibers of the pattern part 14 and those of the ground part 15 are made the same as each other in terms of pile yarn fiber. The pile density M is set at 900 counts/(25.4 mm)2or higher, and the pile/dtex reduction density ρ as the product (M×D) of the pile density M and total pile yarn fineness D is set at 200,000 dtex/(25.4 mm)2or higher. The pile layer thickness t is set at 0.7-3.5 mm, the pile layer 13 is made dense and thin, and the roots 22 of the pile fibers 16 are made upright rectangular to the ground fabric 11.
