A body is vertically splittable across a paper conveyance path. A fixed blade is stationary disposed above or below the paper conveyance path, and a movable blade facing the fixed blade through the paper conveyance path is disposed to be movable between a cutting position where a paper is clamped between the fixed blade and the movable blade to cut, and a housing position where the movable blade is housed in a pocket. A space is disposed adjacent to the fixed blade for the movable blade to enter/exit in accordance with cutting operation. A cover is movable between a covered position covering things arranged in the space below the cover and a retreat position where the paper conveyance path is not interfered. An interlocking part positions the cover at the covered position when the body is split, and positions the cover at the retreat position when the body is not split.
