Abstract:
A device is used for waste-free separation of foils or strips, particularly of aluminium. It comprises a cutter fitted in a frame (1), inside which lower (2) and upper (3) bearing traverses are located. One traverse is arranged in front of the strip, and the other behind it, and between the thus paired traverses (2, 3) there is drivable cutting shaft (4). The traverses (2, 3) can be continually adjusted via regulating devices (5) in a vertical direction. Each cutting shaft (4) carries several cutting discs (7) between which distance rings are fitted. Each disc (7) comprises a guide ring and a wedge cutting blade whose edge may be rounded. The wedge angle of the blade is between 15 and 30 deg., and the cutting radius is between 0.02 and 0.08 mm.
