Abstract:
To provide a cutter which can cut paper wound off on a guide table from a packing roll stably for a long time as to a device for removing a peripheral face packing material from a packing roll.
On a guide table 14 for guiding a peripheral face packing material 3 wound off from a packing roll, a fixed knife is provided extending in its width direction. Above this, a cutter unit 17 provided with a round knife movable along the fixed knife between a work position near the guide table 14 and a relief position away from the guide table is provided. When the paper is wound off on the guide table, the cutter unit is moved to the work position for cutting the paper nicely by running the round knife pressed on the fixed knife.
