PURPOSE: To obviate the necessity of a stand carrying flat car and reduce the dimension of the whole apparatus by constituting the captioned apparatus so that a turntable is connected to a guide rails for replacement, when a cutter for cutting a rolled band-plate into a slender form in a slitter.

CONSTITUTION: In a working apparatus for a band plate 11 which is supplied along a cutting line, a frame 14 for loading a stand 13 on which a pair of cutters 12 for cutting the band plate 11 into slender form are incorporated in the vertical direction is installed onto a base 15. A stand positioning apparatus 16 for positioning the stand 13 in the direction perpendicular to the cutting line is installed onto the base 15 on the side of the stand 13, and is constituted of a cylinder 18 for driving flat car which is installed onto a pair of bases 17 with the base 15, a pair of guide rails 19 for flat car which is installed on the base 17, in the direction perpendicular to the cutting line, and a flat car 20 for transferring stand which is connected to the cylinder 18 for driving flat car and rolled on the guide rails 19, with lock metal fittings 23 in bell crank form.
