PURPOSE: To make contact, surely with pressure, with an edge on a contact surface and to keep good sharpness for a long term, by a method wherein an arm is provided with a cutter body and an adjusting member is provided in order to keep the contact of an edge body against the contact surface on the arm.

CONSTITUTION: When the title cutter is manufactured, an edge 7a thereof can be surely brought contact on a contact surface 5 with pressure, since an edge body 7 is depressed by an adjusting screw 9 being screwed in to a cutter body 1 and shifted toward the contact surface 5. When the cutter is used, the hem of a cut article is brought contact with the edge 7a of the edge body 7, when a handle part 2 of the cutter body 1 is held, and then the cut article is inserted into a clearance 3 for cutting. In this state, when the handle part 2 is pulled toward an operator, the cut article held between the edge body 7 and the contact surface 5 can be cut by edge 7 of the edge body 7. Furthermore, a plate member 5 used as the contact surface 5 is, besides aluminum, made of synthetic resin, such as polyimide resin or epoxy resin, with abrasion resistance and thermal resistance, or of metal, such as iron or copper.
