PURPOSE: To permit the overlapping parts formed at junctions to be spread peripherally by a method wherein a strip-like member having a predetermined width is fed from a roll into a predetermined length and cut along a straight line set at a predetermined inclination angle to the width direction.

CONSTITUTION: A cutting conveyor 11 is operated to cause a conveyor belt 13 to move forward in order to feed a strip-like member 14 from a roll 15 in the direction of the arrow into a length X obtained by a control part. A cutting mechanism 20 is then operated to cut the strip-like member 14 at an angle N thereto. In this way the sheet S having the length X and the shape of a parallelogram is cut out from the strip-like member 14. The cutting conveyor 11 is moved by the feed length X to transfer the sheet S onto a transfer conveyor 31 using a vacuum cup. Since the transfer conveyor 31 is extended parallel to a support frame 21, the sheet S on the transfer conveyor 31 is transferred by its movement along an extension from the cut side 45 of the sheet S.
