CONSTITUTION: This cutting auxiliary device is suitable for the slice cutting work for vegetables such as burdocks, carrots, and Japanese radishes, and it has a main body 1 formed with a flat plate of a corrosion-resistant member into a nearly U-shape on the plan view. The main body 1 is integrally provided with a slender belt-like guide section 3 and leg sections 4 formed at both ends in the longitudinal direction and protruded in the nearly vertical direction. One end of a plate spring-like pinch section 5 is fixed to the base end section of each leg section 4 by a rivet 6 to form a hold section 7 capable of pinching the blade section 10 of a kitchen knife 9. The rivet 6 is provided with a circular positioning section 8 made of a soft member such as a synthetic resin or rubber and located between the leg section 4 and the pinch section 5, and the positioning section 8 is kept in contact with the blade section 10 of the kitchen knife 9.
