PURPOSE: To provide a cutting bend detecting device by which a cutting bend of a work cutting surface can be accurately measured in a short time.

CONSTITUTION: In a sawing machine to cut a work 13 fixed by a fixing means on a base stand by a rotary belt saw, a measuring piece 18 freely taken in and out of a measuring position and a retreat position by a taking in and out means 16, is arranged in the vicinity of a cutting part of the work 13, and a rotating means 21 is arranged to rotate the measuring piece 18 to a position opposed to a cutting surface of the work 13 from the measuring position. Detectors 20 to detect a cutting bend of a cutting surface 13a in a noncontact condition with the cutting surface 13a, are arranged in a plurality in the work cutting direction on a surface opposed to the work cutting surface of the measuring piece 18, and when the measuring piece 18 is advanced so as to be opposed to the work cutting surface 13a after the work is cut, the cutting bend of the cutting surface 13a can be accurately measured in a short time.
