Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cutting and beveling machine for square column in which a single horizontal movable carriage is used so as to simplify the structure and to reduce the manufacturing cost, as well as holding a square pipe to be processed in a horizontal condition so as to facilitate its carrying in and carrying out.
CONSTITUTION: A vice device 5 is provided to clamp the opposing surfaces of a square column W to be machined so as to hold it horizontally, a horizontal movable carriage 21 movable in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the square column W clamped by the vice device 5 is provided, and the first and the second vertical movable carriages 29 and 37 movable in the vertical direction respectively are provided to the horizontal movable carriage 21. The first and the second rotary cutters 43 and 45 which are rotatable and carry out the cutting and the beveling simultaneously are provided to the tips of the first and the second vertical movable carriages 29 and 37, so as to form this process machine.
