Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting condition detecting device for cutting tools, which includes a connector for protecting electrodes, and can prevent defective connection caused by a cutting fluid, chips or the like regardless of arrangement and a shape of the electrodes. SOLUTION: Fixed side and holder side connectors 27, 26 are provided with connection end parts 34, 44 formed of respective electrodes 32, 45 being exposed in the axis L direction, and cover parts 35, 43 surrounding the connection end parts 34, 44 around the axis L, and shutter parts 41, 46 for blocking the opening end parts 35a, 43b are formed so as to protect the cover parts 35, 43 and the connection end parts 34, 44 to the opening end parts 35a, 43b on the front end sides of the cover parts 35, 43, and provided with a shutter opening and closing mechanism which converts the mutual attaching and detaching operations of the respective connectors 26, 27 into the opening and closing operation of the shutter parts 41, 46, and transmits it to the shutter parts 41, 46.
