To efficiently cut a long fiber, while preventing short cut fibers from clogging, by providing a difference in peripheral velocity between a cutter roller and a rubber roller, subjected to revolution.
This method provides a difference in peripheral velocity between a cutter roller 11 and a rubber roller 13, subjected to revolution when a continuous fiber such as glass fiber is delivered between the cutter roller 11 having cutter blades 12 radially on its circumference and the rubber roller 13 standing against the cutter roller and cut by revolutions of the cutter roller 11 and the rubber roller 13. In this method, it is preferable to revolve both rollers in the directions opposite to each other while providing a difference in peripheral velocity between both rollers by maintaining the peripheral velocity of the cutter roller 11 at 310m/min and that of the rubber roller at 300m/min.
