Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for metallic thin sheets, improved in manufacturing efficiency by reducing the time for shaping a cut edge, and also lengthening the life of a tool.
SOLUTION: This cutting device is adapted to cut a metallic thin sheet W to a prescribed width, and provided with a pressing cutting blade 7 made of metal having a higher hardness than the thin sheet W and having a blade angle ranging from 50 to 90°. An abutting tool 5 is provided with a groove part 8 opposite to the pressing cutting blade 7 and abutted on the backside of the thin sheet W. In the groove part 8, the clearance (a) between the upper edges 9a, 9b of an inner wall 9 is 15 to 30 times as large as the sheet thickness of the thin sheet W, and the depth (c) of the deepest part 11 of the groove part 8 is 1 to 3 times as large as the sheet thickness of the thin sheet W. Both inner walls 9 of the groove part 8 are provided with a curved surface 10, and the radius of curvature is 15 to 50 times as large as the sheet thickness of the thin sheet.
